Product basics

What is Sodatide?

Sodatide is a dietary supplement sold as one vegetarian capsule a day. Each capsule holds chicory root inulin 211 mg, potato resistant starch 100 mg and a 36 mg probiotic blend. The label sums it up as metabolic and digestive support.

Who makes Sodatide?

The label lists Instituto Experience of Lakeland, FL 33804 as the distributor. The capsules are made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients. The factory itself is not named on the label.

What does the Sodatide label say it supports?

The front of the bottle makes three claims: “Metabolic & Digestive Support”, “Supports Appetite Control And Satiety” and “Promotes Energy Production From Fats”. The asterisk points to the standard FDA statement for supplements.

How many capsules come in a bottle of Sodatide?

Each bottle holds 30 capsules. At one capsule a day, that is a 30-day supply.

Is Sodatide a weight-loss pill?

No. Sodatide is a fiber and probiotic supplement, and its label makes no weight-loss claim. Its claims cover digestion, satiety and energy from fats.

Who runs this website?

Sodatide U.S. shop runs sodatidewellness.com as an authorized Sodatide retailer. We are not the manufacturer, and we earn money when you buy through our links. The about page explains how we work.

Ingredients & dose

What are the ingredients in Sodatide?

The active ingredients are chicory root inulin (211 mg), potato resistant starch (100 mg) and a probiotic blend (36 mg). Hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silica make up the other ingredients. The Supplement Facts page shows the full panel.

What is chicory root inulin?

Chicory root inulin is a soluble fiber from the root of the chicory plant. Your body cannot digest it, so it reaches the colon and feeds friendly bacteria. In one trial, 12 g a day for 4 weeks raised bifidobacteria (Vandeputte et al., 2017).

What is potato resistant starch?

It is a starch that passes the small intestine without being digested. Bacteria in the colon ferment it into short-chain fatty acids such as butyrate. The inulin vs. resistant starch article compares the two fibers.

Which probiotics are in Sodatide?

The label names three species: Bifidobacterium infantis, Clostridium butyricum and Akkermansia muciniphila. Together they weigh 36 mg per capsule.

How many CFU does Sodatide contain?

The CFU count is not published, and neither are the strain codes. That matters because probiotic effects depend on the exact strain and amount (Hill et al., 2014).

Is Sodatide’s Akkermansia live or pasteurized?

The label does not say. The main human trial used 10 billion pasteurized cells a day (Depommier et al., 2019). Read more in our Akkermansia explainer.

Are the Sodatide doses the same as in studies?

No. Studies of inulin used about 5 to 21 g a day, and studies of resistant starch used 15 to 34 g a day. Sodatide holds a fraction of a gram of each, which the ingredients page lays out in a table.

Is Sodatide vegetarian and gluten free?

The capsule shell is hypromellose, a plant-based material, so it suits vegetarians. No gluten or dairy ingredients appear on the label. No gluten test result has been published.

Taking it

How do I take Sodatide?

Have one capsule a day with an 8 oz. glass of water. Morning, before a meal, is the brand’s suggested time. The how-to-use page walks through a simple routine.

Would two capsules a day be better than one?

No. The label says the recommended dose should not be exceeded. One capsule a day is the full serving.

What if I miss a dose?

Take your next capsule at the usual time. Do not take two at once to catch up, since the label says not to exceed the dose.

Do I need to keep Sodatide in the fridge?

Yes, once the bottle is open. The label asks you to refrigerate it to protect the probiotics and to keep it away from heat, light and humidity. Our storage guide has more tips.

How long until I notice anything with Sodatide?

There is no set timeline, and no trial of Sodatide itself has been published. Buyers in the retailer's review pack most often mention 3-4 weeks, but those reviews are not independently verified. See the results timeline.

Can I take it with medicine or other supplements?

Ask your doctor or pharmacist first if you take any medicine. The label also asks anyone with a known medical condition to check with a physician.

Safety

Is Sodatide safe?

The ingredients are common food fibers and known probiotic species. Mild gas or bloating can happen in the first weeks. Pregnant or nursing women, anyone under 18 and people with a medical condition should ask a doctor first.

What side effects can happen?

Gas and bloating are the most common. In studies these showed up at gram-level fiber doses, up to 10 g of inulin (Bonnema et al., 2010). The side effects page covers what to watch for.

Who should not take Sodatide without a doctor's OK?

Pregnant or nursing women, children under 18 and anyone with a known medical condition. People with a weak immune system should also ask first, because rare infections have been linked to C. butyricum probiotics (Sada et al., 2024).

Is Sodatide FDA approved?

No. Sodatide is not FDA approved, because the FDA does not approve dietary supplements before they are sold (FDA, Q&A on Dietary Supplements). The pack says Sodatide is made in an FDA-registered facility, which describes the factory, not the product.

Has Sodatide been lab tested?

The bottle shows lot SOD-26/SO-6898 and a certificate reference, SOD-6898-26-SO. No lab certificate has been published for buyers. The batch verify page explains what those codes mean.

What if the safety seal is damaged?

Do not use the bottle. The label says not to use it if the seal is damaged or missing. Call the order desk to report it.
